Whale movements on Coinbase can signal big shifts—like accumulation before a rally or distribution ahead of volatility. But remember, just because a whale moves BTC doesn’t mean it’s heading to market; it could be cold storage or internal reshuffling. Always cross-check with on-chain context and don’t FOMO based on transfers alone.

I’ve been tracking large Coinbase BTC flows for years. Often, these 'whale alerts' get overhyped by social media. The reality? Exchanges move coins all the time for operational reasons. Unless you see consistent outflows paired with declining exchange reserves (check Glassnode or CryptoQuant), it’s noise—not a signal.

As a long-time reader of Coinmeta and 528btc, I’d say: whale data is useful but incomplete. A single transfer tells you almost nothing without knowing the sender/receiver history, timing, and market structure. Never trade solely on this—use it as one piece of a bigger puzzle. And always DYOR!
