Q&A details
Are ETH positions sending a cautious signal?
The latest funding rate for the ETH perpetual contract is 0.001748%. Regarding changes in ETH positions, the market may reassess related expectations. Specific position actions will affect the market's judgment on the behavior of large investors, short-term capital sentiment and the pace of subsequent operations. Do you think we should pay more attention to the implementation changes or the funding response in the future?

Funding rate is only one window into positioning, not a standalone signal. A slightly positive rate often just means longs are still paying shorts, which can reflect mild optimism or simply the cost of carrying leverage. Treating that single print as "cautious" is over-reading it. In my view the more meaningful thing to watch is whether open interest is building or unwinding alongside it — rising OI with a cooling rate tells a different story than falling OI with the same rate. As for your question, I'd weight implementation changes a bit more than the funding response, because funding is a lagging, mechanical byproduct while actual position adjustments show intent. That said, I can't see live numbers, so please verify on your exchange. Not financial advice, just how I frame it.
