According to CoinMeta, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahagae stated that the Strait of Hormuz “will never return to its pre-war state.” He mentioned that the current negotiations between Iran and Oman regarding this waterway are not related to the opening or closing of the Strait of Hormuz. Bahagae pointed out that the closure of the strait is due to “US sabotage actions and the maritime blockade imposed on Iran.” He added that these negotiations are of a bilateral nature, and discussions on “mechanisms to safeguard their own interests” are not new topics; both sides have been engaged in consultations for a long time. He also stated that Iran takes action based on national interests and concerns and will not change its decisions under the threat or intimidation of other parties, and that Iran “will not abandon its stance due to threats and media pressure.” He emphasized that regional neighbors should recognize that any attacks by the US against Iranian infrastructure will have consequences for the entire region.
