Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse will attend the 2026 Wyoming Blockchain Symposium. This closed-door event, scheduled for August 17-20 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, is co-hosted by SALT and cryptocurrency exchange Kraken and is expected to attract approximately 500 institutional investors, regulators, blockchain entrepreneurs, and policymakers.
Several U.S. regulators and industry representatives attended.
Disclosed attendees include SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott, House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, Galaxy Digital CEO Michael Novogratz, Stellar Development Foundation CEO Denelle Dixon, BitGo CEO Mike Belshe, and Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo.
Unlike publicly held industry conferences, this event primarily featured closed-door discussions, focusing on regulation, institutional adoption, and blockchain applications.
The timing of Ripple's development has attracted attention.
Garlinghouse's appearance comes at a time when Ripple is continuing to push forward its institutional business. The report also mentions that Paul Atkins is expected to attend, raising questions about whether Ripple and the SEC, after years of litigation, will find new avenues for communication on broader regulatory issues.
The report also stated that Ripple may use this occasion to further promote its stablecoin RLUSD and demonstrate the application capabilities of XRP Ledger in payments, tokenized assets, and compliant stablecoins.
Topics covered included AI, Bitcoin treasury, and tokenization.
The organizers stated that this year's conference will focus on three themes: blockchain-supported decentralized AI infrastructure, the use of Bitcoin as a corporate treasury asset, and the tokenization of traditional financial markets, including stocks and bonds.
The report also noted that the meeting is scheduled immediately after the US Congress's August recess, and the market will be watching the progress of crypto legislation, especially the future of the CLARITY Act. Whether regulators will continue to pursue rule-making under their existing authority if Congress fails to pass the relevant legislation may also be a key point of discussion.
Before its appearance in Wyoming, Garlinghouse will host Ripple Swell 2026 in New York from October 27 to 29, where it is expected to continue showcasing its blockchain and payments business for institutions.
