According to CoinMeta, the World Gold Council's "Global Gold Demand Trends Report" for the second quarter of 2026, released on July 30, shows that the total gold demand in the Chinese market (including gold jewelry, gold bars, gold ETF, and industrial gold) in the second quarter reached 155 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 41%, representing the weakest performance for the second quarter since 2022. The demand for gold jewelry weakened, with a year-on-year decline of 28%, and there was a流出 of 22 tons of gold ETF, which was the main factor contributing to the year-on-year decline in gold demand. Despite the decrease in the volume of demand, consumers' spending on gold jewelry remained high.
