According to CoinMeta, Turkey is expected to continue receiving oil supplies from Iraq. Informed Turkish officials revealed that although Turkey and Iraq failed to renew a pipeline agreement that had been in place for decades and expired on Monday this week, both sides agreed to maintain crude oil shipments during the continuation of negotiations. The talks between Turkish President Erdogan and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Zeidhi regarding the 986-kilometer-long Kirkuk-Jayhan oil pipeline on Tuesday did not yield a final result. If an agreement is ultimately reached, it will take effect retroactively from July 27, the date when the previous agreement, which was in effect for 53 years, expired.
