According to CoinMeta, South Korean market authorities are considering more radical measures to stabilize the KOSPI index, which has fallen below the 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages due to record-breaking sell-offs earlier on. The center of this collapse was the participation of retail investors in leveraged ETF products related to Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, which exacerbated the sell-off and caused heavy losses for South Korean families. According to a report by The Financial Times, nearly half of the 880,000 customers who purchased Samsung stocks are currently in the red, and among the 408,000 investors who invested in SK Hynix, nearly 70% are also in a loss-making situation.
