Preliminary data released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis on Thursday showed that the U.S. GDP adjusted for inflation grew by 1.5% year-on-year in the second quarter. Net exports, which fluctuated significantly between quarters, overshadowed the underlying strength of domestic demand in the U.S. Consumer spending, which accounts for about two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, grew at an annualized quarterly rate of 3.2%. Meanwhile, driven by the boom in artificial intelligence investment, corporate investment continued to grow strongly.
