According to CoinMeta, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) stated that if the Clear Act does not become law, they will be prepared to formulate crypto regulations. Vice Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ju Yun-jeok stated that the government will proceed as planned, without further delays. Under the plan, crypto assets with annual earnings exceeding 2.5 million Korean won will face a separate income tax of 20%, and the total local tax rate will reach 22%.
