According to CoinMeta, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong stated that the USDC protocol between Coinbase and Circle will "automatically renew indefinitely under the same terms." He confirmed that the renewal conditions have been met, and the protocol will be locked in August of this year. Coinbase currently accounts for about 50% of all USDC economy.
