According to CoinMeta, and based on a research report by Binance, in the first half of 2026, the total locked-up value of DeFi decreased by $43.4 billion, representing a decline of 38%. At the same time, the total market value of Ethereum, BNB, Solana, Tron, SUI, and NEAR fell by $246.5 billion, with a decrease of 42%. The report indicates that this decline is mainly reflected in capital, lending, and network valuation, rather than a simple transfer of funds within the blockchain sector. Current data shows that as of July 31, the total locked-up value of DeFi was approximately $74.9 billion, which represents a recovery from $70.8 billion at the end of June. The report also mentions that TRM Labs experienced 207 hacker attacks in the first half of the year, resulting in losses of $972 million, which is double the amount from the same period last year.
