CCI Report: Global Crypto Industry Transactions Shifting Outside of the United States
2026-07-31 17:30:58
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that policy organizations in the crypto industry, including Crypto Council, for, Innovation, and CCI, have released reports indicating that global crypto industry transactions, talent, and infrastructure have significantly shifted outside of the United States. The reports show that approximately 80% of global crypto developers reside outside of the U.S., and the proportion of U.S. developers has decreased from 38% to 19% over the past decade. From 2024 to 2025, the U.S. is expected to account for only 2% to 5% of the growth in trading volume of global centralized exchanges. CCI believes that regions with clearer regulations, such as the European Union, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore, are attracting crypto licenses, businesses, and jobs. They call on the U.S. to expedite the advancement of legislation for digital asset market structures, such as Clarity Act, in order to reverse the ongoing outflow of the industry.
