According to CoinMeta, the US dollar is heading for its worst week in three months, with the US Dollar Index expected to fall by 1.2% this week. Although the index rebounded on Friday, it is still near its lowest level in over a month. The market doubts whether the Federal Reserve (Fed) can take sufficiently strong actions to curb inflation, reflecting concerns about the Fed's credibility. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is under market scrutiny, and his remarks have raised concerns about a possible delay in interest rate hikes. Currently, long-term US Treasury yields have risen to their highest levels since 2007. Gavekal Wealth Managing Director Randhir Prakash stated that the simultaneous decline in US Treasuries and the dollar "feels very much like what happens in emerging markets," with investors beginning to express dissatisfaction with the US policy path, which is negative for US Treasuries and the dollar. In addition, actions suspected to be supported by Japanese authorities to strengthen the yen have further increased pressure on the dollar.
