According to CoinMeta, on July 31, the European Commission announced that starting from August 2, its Artificial Intelligence Office, in conjunction with the regulatory authorities of member states, would begin to enforce the provisions of the Artificial Intelligence Act. At the same time, new transparency requirements for artificial intelligence will also come into effect, requiring certain AI systems to clearly inform users that they are interacting with AI, as well as whether the content is generated or modified by AI. Under the new regulations, interactive AI systems such as chatbots must clearly indicate their AI identity to users, rather than that of a human. Deeply forged images, videos, and audio generated or edited using AI must be labeled, and content created or altered by AI must also include machine-readable markers for identification and tracking purposes. The European Commission stated that these measures aim to reduce deception and manipulation, help the public make more informed decisions, and provide businesses with clearer compliance requirements and implementation guidelines.
