According to CoinMeta, Circle announced that the New York State Department of Financial Services has granted a limited-purpose trust license to its subsidiary, Circle Internet Trust Company LLC. Circle's co-founder, chairman, and CEO, Jeremy Allaire, stated that obtaining a New York trust license was the company's long-term goal, and that the regulatory clarity brought by this license puts USDC within an acknowledged regulatory framework.
