According to CoinMeta, Leonardo's new CEO, Lorenzo Mariani, stated in an interview with CNBC that with the increase in European defense spending, the company expects to make more acquisitions to support long-term growth. Mariani pointed out that the gap in capacity to meet demand is a key factor, emphasizing the importance of acquisitions and strategic collaborations. Leonardo recently completed a €1.6 billion acquisition of Iveco defense vehicles and plans to continue to expand its investments in cybersecurity and AI mission software. The company also expects new orders for the whole year to reach €28.2 billion, up from the previous €25 billion.
