According to CoinMeta, Blackstone (NYSE : BX), KKR (NYSE : KKR), and Canadian Brookfield signed the "Perreglin Project" agreement on July 25th, marking the largest foreign direct investment in Kuwait's history. The three parties jointly established a $16 billion infrastructure joint venture to acquire a minority stake of 49% in Kuwait's domestic and export crude oil pipeline network. The agreement spans 20.5 years and covers approximately 320 kilometers of 13 core pipelines, with Kuwait Petroleum Corporation holding a controlling stake of 51% and having exclusive operational rights. The investor group will receive fees based on transportation volume, ensuring a stable cash flow even during fluctuations in crude oil prices. This agreement unlocks immediate upfront benefits of $7.85 billion for Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, directly supporting the country's goal of increasing oil production capacity to 4 million barrels per day by 2035.
