According to CoinMeta, Bob Diamond, former CEO of Barclays, called on Wall Street to support the long-discussed Clearing House Act during a recent interview with CNBC “Squawk Box”. He stated that the act will have a positive impact on the banking industry, despite currently being stalled in the Senate due to various disagreements. Diamond pointed out that the world's largest financial institutions are already preparing for blockchain-based finance and believed that “no one is more proactive in investing in innovation than JPMorgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of New York”. He emphasized that blockchain technology will significantly improve the efficiency of financial markets, offering advantages such as “24-hour trading and instant settlement”, and claimed that these features will provide deeper liquidity at lower costs. Diamond believes that banks are making substantial investments in the infrastructure required for tokenized finance, and regulatory certainty will further strengthen this trend.
