According to CoinMeta, the excess reserves of Tether decreased by $4.1 billion in the second quarter, halving from $8.2 billion to $4.1 billion. The latest report shows that Tether had a financial loss of $3.2 billion in the first half of the year, which means a loss of over $4 billion in the second quarter, compared to a profit of $1 billion reported in the first quarter. Tether has not yet clarified these figures.
