Microsoft's stock price rises by 15.5%, Azure prospects drive a record rebound

According to CoinMeta, Microsoft's stock price rose 15.5% on Thursday, closing at around $451.50, marking the largest one-day increase since October 2008. This rebound was mainly driven by the strong growth of Azure cloud services and the demand for artificial intelligence. Microsoft's market value increased by nearly $450 billion, reaching approximately $3.35 trillion. Microsoft reported revenue of $90 billion in the fourth fiscal quarter, a year-on-year increase of 18%, with net revenue rising 31% to $35.8 billion, and earnings per share after dilution increasing by 32% to $4.81. Microsoft's cloud revenue grew by 27%, reaching $59.3 billion, and Azure and other cloud service revenues grew by 43%. Management expects that Azure revenue will grow at a rate of about 45% this quarter, far exceeding analysts' forecast of 41%.
