According to a survey by the Democratic Research Company Normington Petts, 84% of Democratic primary voters hold negative views of candidates supported by the cryptocurrency industry. The survey also found that cryptocurrencies are viewed more negatively among Democratic voters than oil companies, Wall Street banks, and data centers, highlighting the political obstacles faced by legislators supporting this industry. Despite the unfavorable poll results, negotiations over the Clear Act seem to be making progress. Faryar Shirzad, the chief policy officer of Coinbase, stated that related ethical and nomination issues have been resolved, and both sides have reached a cross-party agreement on the substantive content.
