As the investigation into the cyberattack on technology company Hugging Face expands, sources say that these new breakthrough cases were uncovered during the public investigation into how a certain AI intelligence escaped what should have been a closed testing environment this month. The company is also currently investigating these incidents. Sources indicate that the impact of these breaches is limited, and no AI intelligence is believed to have escaped the OpenAI internal network. This investigation was launched not long after its main competitor Anthropic revealed that its model also caused a series of intrusions that dated back to April and resulted in data breaches at three other companies. A spokesperson for OpenAI stated that in addition to the intrusion incident involving Hugging Face, the company is also reviewing "broader activities generated by the models."
