According to CoinMeta, as reported by Coinspectator, attackers exploited weak mnemonics generated by certain Coldcard hardware wallets to steal Bitcoin worth tens of millions of dollars, involving hundreds of addresses. Based on the in-depth analysis by Galaxy Research, the core theft operation was carried out in close coordination within about 25 minutes, and subsequent analyses linked approximately 1,196 additional addresses.
