According to CoinMeta, as reported by bitcoin and news, Bitcoin multi-signature wallet service provider Nunchuk stated that some of its platform keys were generated by Coldcard MK4. However, these keys were not directly used in the auxiliary wallets; instead, actual keys for use were generated through custom derivation logic. Therefore, even if an attacker creates a lookup table based on the affected Coldcard keys, the actual keys in use by Nunchuk would not be immediately included in that table. Nevertheless, Nunchuk noted that if the attacker has sufficient time, it is still possible that these derived keys could eventually be included in the scope of the lookup.
