According to CoinMeta, as reported by Galaxy Research, attackers exploited a weak seed generation mechanism to rebuild private keys offline without accessing any cold wallet devices, and stole 1,000 BTC from nearly 1,200 wallets, with a total value of about 70 million US dollars.
