Strategy stock falls due to Saylor suspending Bitcoin purchases

According to CoinMeta, Strategy's stock fell 4.56% on July 31 due to the company reporting a quarterly loss of $8.22 billion, closing at $93.28. The company prioritized the restoration of the par value of its preferred stocks to $100, and on Thursday, the stock traded as low as $89.21. Strategy held 843,775 bitcoins at the end of the reporting period, an increase of 25% from the beginning of the year. Due to the decline in bitcoin prices, the market value of these holdings dropped to approximately $5.477 billion. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor stated that the company will no longer use all available funds to immediately purchase bitcoins, but instead plans to maintain a combination of cash and bitcoins.
