According to CoinMeta, Fun Coffee carried out virtual currency fraud in Hong Kong under the guise of investing in a coffee business, offering an annual interest rate as high as 222%, and collapsed in July 2026. The project entered Hong Kong at the end of 2025 and was warned by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission in July 2026. There were 4,000 victims, with the amount involved exceeding HK$1 billion. The police have received 115 reports, and the case is being followed up by the Fraud Investigation Team of the Commercial Crimes Investigation Department.
