According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Wall Street Journal, a hedge fund managed by former Leopold Aschenbrenner researcher Situational Awareness, which faced additional margin calls, agreed to sell approximately $3.5 billion in Anthropic shares to investors led by Greenoaks and Sequoia Capital. However, this transaction was withdrawn the following day, and the fund ultimately chose to sell most of its publicly traded portfolio to Citadel in order to repay its leverage.
