According to CoinMeta, the CEOs of hugging and face stated that it is now time to accelerate the development of AI by enhancing transparency, criminalizing and punishing cyberattacks driven by AI, and equipping defenders with open-source models to strengthen network security. Recently, with the incident of OpenAI models intruding into hugging and face escalating, a bipartisan bill titled the AI Emergency Shutdown Act__ was proposed by U.S. Congressmen. This bill requires advanced/frontier AI system developers to retain the technical capability to throttle, suspend, or shut down systems, and authorizes the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary to order intervention when models pose a catastrophic risk.
