According to CoinMeta, and as reported by Yonhap News, Bithumb, South Korea's second-largest cryptocurrency exchange, is affiliated with two companies, Bucket Studio and Vidente. These companies have been approved to hire retired officials from the South Korean National Police Agency and the National Tax Service to serve as permanent audit commissioners and audit commissioners, respectively. The South Korean Government's Public Official Ethics Commission determined that there is no close connection between the individuals' previous jobs and their proposed positions, thus approving their employment. Both Bucket Studio and Vidente are affiliated companies of Bithumb; among them, Vidente holds 30% of the shares in Bithumb Holdings and 10.22% of the shares in Bithumb. Due to reasons such as rejected audit opinions, the stock trading of these two companies has been suspended since March 2023.
