According to CoinMeta, the president of Bitcoin mining company American Bitcoin and interim CFO Matt Prusak will leave his position on August 4th and join AI along with energy infrastructure company Giga Energy, where he will take on the role of Chief Commercial Officer and interim CFO. Prusak stated that Bitcoin mining and AI computing are both limited by power infrastructure, hence the decision to shift towards the upstream energy sector. American Bitcoin is supported by Hut, co-founded by Eric Trump in conjunction with Giga Energy, which mainly develops power equipment and AI data center infrastructure. This move reflects that the Bitcoin mining industry is further extending into the energy and AI infrastructure sectors.
