According to CoinMeta, a Bitcoin wallet that has been dormant since 2013 transferred 500 BTC, worth approximately $31 million, on Monday. The wallet, labeled as 18texp, had not been active since 2013. This transfer occurred after the hack incident involving cold wallets (Coldcard), and analysts believe it may have been done for security reasons. Since July 30, attackers have stolen thousands of BTC from wallets generated by these cold wallets, resulting in a loss of about $130 million.
