According to CoinMeta, NVIDIA is discussing adjustments to the HBM configuration of Rubin Ultra GPU. They plan to change the main version from HBM4E with 12HI and 384GB to HBM4 with 8HI and 192GB, and subsequently launch the HBM4E version with 8HI as well. If NVIDIA's production capacity for COWOS in 2027 reaches 1.2 million units, it is estimated that the total number of accelerators produced will be around 9.9 million, of which the production of Rubin Ultra will be about 1.6 million units. By adopting a lower-specification HBM scheme, NVIDIA's demand for HBM in 2027 is expected to decrease from 24.1 billion GB to 21.6 billion GB, representing a reduction of about 10%, and the overall demand for HBM is expected to drop by about 4%.
