According to CoinMeta, Alexander Samoylov, an official from the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation (FSSR), disclosed at the Sochi Cyber Technology Annual Conference in May 2026 that there are plans to compel cryptocurrency exchanges and gaming platforms to install a certain system to share user data in real-time. Alexander Samoylov acknowledged that the implementation rate of the Yarovaya law, which was passed in 2016, is about 80% so far. According to a survey by The Bell, after the terrorist attack at the Krukus City Concert Hall, the second phase of the FSB measures strengthened control over the Russian internet through inspections of the SORM system.
