2026-08-05 01:06:49
According to CoinMeta, Hashdex announced that it will close its US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF), which has only accumulated $14.7 million in managed assets. According to documents submitted to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, trading for the fund will cease after the market closes on August 17, and a cash distribution will be made to shareholders who still hold the fund around August 28. Hashdex stated that the decision to liquidate was based on an assessment of factors such as managed assets, trading liquidity, operating costs, and investor interest. The company currently manages over $200 million in assets in its US investment products.
