Early Bitcoin core developer: It's inevitable that 99% of digital assets will be wiped out to zero

According to CoinMeta, an early Bitcoin core developer Jeff Garzik stated in a podcast on Bitcoin Treasuries that 99% of digital assets are inevitably destined to become worthless. He believes that due to permissionless innovation, the cost of creating digital assets is zero, and networks like Solana generate a large number of new tokens every day. Under the laws of supply and demand, this virtually unlimited supply will inevitably lead to most tokens losing their value. Garzik argues that this zero-cost free competition is positive for the industry as it provides the best testing environment for economic experiments, and in the end, the high-quality projects that emerge from the harsh selection process will benefit everyone.
