Cardano Achieves a New Decentralization Milestone, Nakamoto Coefficient Hits a Record High
2026-08-05 22:53:18
According to CoinMeta, Cardano has recently reached a new milestone in decentralization, with its Nakamoto coefficient climbing to a record high of 16. This milestone was shared by Cardano SPO Rick McCraken on social media and confirmed by the blockchain fundamentals tracking platform Chainspect. The Nakamoto coefficient is an indicator of the degree of decentralization of a blockchain, representing the minimum number of entities that could conspire to undermine the network. The higher the Nakamoto coefficient, the more participants attackers need to coordinate. This achievement by Cardano signifies stronger resistance to censorship and a network controlled by more parties. According to Santiment data, the Cardano ADA token has risen by 16.92% in the past week, with a current trading price of $0.191.
