According to CoinMeta, Coinbase is exploring the next generation of software development models through its internal AI programming system Forge. The platform has evolved from an early-stage internal tool into an ecosystem that encompasses a variety of AI development capabilities and has become one of the cases for enterprise application agents AI. Currently, there are about 600 users within Coinbase, allowing engineers to run multiple AI agents simultaneously, transforming the traditional serial development process into a parallel collaboration model. In addition, Forge also includes features such as Slack task routing and an automated "bug to fix" process to reduce manual handling of repetitive development tasks. The engineering lead Chintan Turakhia stated that with the increased use of AI coding tools, the Coinbase costs have decreased, while the usage of Token continues to grow. The industry believes that Coinbase represents a new direction for enterprise AI applications: companies are no longer just invoking general large models but are building AI agent systems around their own business processes to improve development efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance internal productivity.
