According to CoinMeta, after a cold card attack, the Bitcoin Red Team initiated a volunteer security review that uncovered 4,962 potential security issues involving 390 Bitcoin-related projects. During the initial 29.8-hour AI auxiliary code review, 720 of these issues were classified as high or critical severity. Bitcoin developer Calle stated that the team has launched a coordinated security review covering Bitcoin libraries, wallets, infrastructure software, and other open-source projects. The team pointed out that the current security situation is "extremely poor," with an average of one critical vulnerability being discovered per person per hour. This volunteer team, which includes AnchorWatch CEO Rob Hamilton and other Bitcoin contributors, uses AI auxiliary tools and manual verification to identify software vulnerabilities.
