According to CoinMeta, Coinbase announced that starting from August 6th, it will gradually make nearly 4,000 US stocks available to eligible British users, supporting trading throughout the week on five days. Users can deposit funds in pounds sterling or USDC, with zero commissions and the ability to purchase fractional shares starting from just 1 pound. The stocks are managed and executed in the United States by Apex Clearing. This move is part of Coinbase's strategy to integrate crypto assets, stocks, stablecoins, savings, and lending into a single platform known as “everything exchange”.
