According to CoinMeta, as reported by CoinShares, in the second quarter of 2026, deposits of RWA (real-world assets) on lending platforms and decentralized exchanges reached $7.4 billion, more than tripling from $2.3 billion in the same period last year. Meanwhile, total DeFi deposits decreased by about 15%. This data marks a shift from token issuance to active financial usage. CoinShares indicates that the on-chain market value of tokenized funds, stocks, and commodities has exceeded $40 billion. The report notes that the volume of RWA spot transactions increased by about 220% year-on-year, while the overall trading volume on decentralized exchanges decreased by about 70%.
