Bitget Signs Agreement with Bhutan to Apply for GMC Financial Services License

According to CoinMeta, Bitget announced a cooperation agreement with Gelephu Mindfulness City Authority of Bhutan, aiming to establish a local business and apply for a financial services license. Under the agreement, Bitget will set up a legal entity in Gelephu Mindfulness City ( GMC ), prepare to apply for a financial services license, and cooperate with the local government to carry out operations, regulation, and ecosystem development work. The agreement still requires necessary regulatory approval. Bitget's Chief Executive Officer, Gracy Chen, stated that Bhutan's long-term planning and renewable energy resources, combined with the regulatory framework that supports digital assets, will provide support for the company's long-term development in Bhutan.
