BofA: Downgrading Views on the Minimally Invasive AI Business as a Threat to China
2026-08-07 00:37:43
According to CoinMeta, an analyst from Bank of America (BofA) named Vivek Arya reiterated their buy rating on MicroPort Technologies (Micron Technology, MU) on August 3rd, maintaining a target price of $1550, suggesting that there is significant room for upside at the current level. Although MicroPort's stock price declined at the end of July due to the listing of its Chinese competitors, BofA believes that CXMT (GigaDevice Technology) holds only an 8% market share in the global DRAM market, which is far lower than MicroPort's 22%. BofA pointed out that CXMT's growth is mainly concentrated in standard DRAM, rather than in high-bandwidth memory used for AI servers. This difference determines whether China's rise will pose a threat to MicroPort's profitability.
