According to CoinMeta, tokenized asset deposits have surged to $7.4 billion. The accelerated use on-chain has driven the growth of real-world assets (_RWA) in decentralized finance (DeFi) lending platforms and decentralized exchanges to more than triple over the past year, from $2.3 billion to $7.4 billion, despite a total _DeFi deposit decline of about 15%. The report indicates that the spot trading volume of tokenized assets on decentralized exchanges increased by 220% year-on-year, while the trading volume of crypto-native _DEX decreased by about 70%. Tokenized government bond funds, multi-strategy funds, and private credit products account for the majority of _RWA deposits, as investors seek assets that can generate continuous returns and serve as collateral. Despite the rapid growth in usage, the report points out that tokenized assets still represent a small portion of the global financial market; currently, only about $2.2 billion of the world's $100 trillion stock market is tokenized.
