According to CoinMeta, on Thursday, the US dollar rose against the Japanese yen as investors awaited details of a proposed agreement to end the conflict with Iran and the upcoming US employment report. After joint intervention by Japanese and US financial authorities, the dollar gradually recovered its previous losses and is now up 0.41% against the yen, at 158.41, marking the third consecutive trading day of gains. The market remains concerned about tensions in the Gulf region. Reuters reported that a proposed agreement between Iran and Oman could allow Tehran to control traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. Although President Trump stated that an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz was near, US officials have repeatedly insisted that they would not agree to Iran's control over this globally important energy supply route.
