According to CoinMeta, Salmi, a member of the presidium of the Iranian Parliament, stated that the Iranian National Security Council is reviewing a draft bill titled "Strategic Actions to Ensure the Security and Sustainable Development of the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf." The draft would prohibit ships from the United States, Israel, and other hostile countries from passing through the Strait of Hormuz, as well as prohibit goods related to Israel from entering the region. Ships or goods that have participated in operations against the Resistance Front would also be banned from passage. Countries and individuals that cause damage to Iran would not be allowed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf until they compensate for the losses. Those who violate this law could face fines of up to 20% of the value of the goods. The government will cooperate with the armed forces to undertake responsibilities such as navigation guidance, ship traffic monitoring, and the protection of the security and environment of the Persian Gulf. The draft bill is currently still in the expert review stage, and the Iranian Parliament has requested experts to submit suggestions for improvement.
