According to CoinMeta, and as reported by foreign media, a federal judge in the United States has ordered the U.S. Department of Defense to temporarily lift the freeze on approvals for wind energy projects. Previously, this freeze had threatened billions of dollars in investments. On Thursday, U.S. District Judge Karin Immergut supported renewable energy groups that filed a lawsuit to overturn the freeze, issuing a preliminary injunction requiring the Pentagon to resume reviewing wind farm projects to determine whether these projects would interfere with military operations. The injunction will remain in effect while the litigation continues. These groups stated that over 100 projects in 25 states across the United States are affected by the freeze.
