According to CoinMeta, OpenAI plans to release a highly anticipated “ring-shaped speaker” that is expected to hit the market next year. The device will have a unique design with movable parts and may cost over $300. Essentially, it is a smart speaker without a display screen, shaped like a donut and about the size of a hockey puck, designed to be easily carried in one hand. OpenAI hopes to set a new standard in the industry with this product, which is scheduled for release in 2027. At the same time, the new hardware will also give OpenAI the opportunity to prove that its design is not a copy of Apple’s ( AAPL.O ); the two companies are currently engaged in legal proceedings regarding this matter.
