US intelligence agencies: Russia may test NATO's resolve with a limited invasion
2026-08-07 09:11:05
According to CoinMeta, and as reported by The Wall Street Journal, the latest intelligence report from the United States suggests that Russian President Putin may launch limited attacks against NATO allies in the coming years in order to test NATO's resolve. The report outlines a range of possible scenarios, ranging from cyberattacks to small-scale ground invasions. U.S. officials noted that these assessment reports come at a time when the U.S. military is facing potential shortages of certain key munitions in the future. Due to the transfer of weapons to Ukraine after the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, as well as the tensions between the United States and Iran, the U.S. stockpiles of such weapons have significantly diminished. Other officials mentioned that the weapons at risk include long-range precision strike missiles, army tactical missile systems, and short-range “Stinger” surface-to-air missiles.
