International oil prices set to rise due to Iran's plans regarding the Strait of Hormuz

According to CoinMeta, international oil prices rose on Friday due to concerns about supply disruptions. Brent crude oil October futures increased by 1.22% to $83.50 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil September futures rose by 1.11% to $78.15 per barrel. West Pacific Bank stated in a report that rising oil prices could mean further inflationary pressures from energy and the Middle East situation, which could drive the dollar stronger and cause government bonds to fall. According to a draft issued by Iran, the country will ban American and Israeli vessels from passing through the Strait of Hormuz until compensation is paid in full. Iran and Oman are in talks to agree on traffic routes through the Strait of Hormuz, but no specific deal has been announced yet. In addition, Ukraine attacked two major Russian refineries at night, and U.S. imports of Saudi crude oil in July dropped to zero for the first time since 1985.
